It's that time of the year when we focus on how special and unique each Matey is! During our All About Me unit the Mateys will become familiar with accepting that everyone is different but yet we are all special. This is by far one of my favorite units, and I am looking forward to learning more about each one of our Mateys!

Following information night a few parents had additional questions. I have listed the questions and replies to them below!
Our first full week is underway and the Mateys are continuing to adjust to their new school! From making new friends, to enjoying centers in our classroom they are all rocking and rolling! How many minions can fit inside of a T-Rex's footprint?!Paleontologist, paleontologist what do you see? I see fossils looking at me!This by far was one of the class favorites during centers this week! Each little minion got to pretend that he/she was a paleontologist who had to excavate the fossils from his/her artifact. Did I mention the artifact was a chocolate chip cookie?! Once all of the fossils (chocolate chips) were excavated, then the student counted to see how many fossils he/she had collected. After the student counted his/her fossils, then of course he/she got to the cookie and the fossils (: ! Unifix cubes make excellent dinosaur bones! Say hello to Mr. Long Neck (: ! |
Ms. MinorI am a fun, bubbly person!! I love working with children, and currently have 18 mighty mateys I get to work with everyday! I try to make a difference in each of my students' lives as well as teach them the tools they need to succeed in and out of school. Archives
